Dan Lofstrom

CEO + Director of Marine Systems


Mr. Lofstrom is the CEO of Steady Flux and leads the marine division of our company. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Ocean Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Washington. Mr. Lofstrom has extensive experience in Mechanical Engineering, Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) Design, Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) Design, ROV Design, and Naval Architecture of ships and ship systems. He has project management experience on several hardware development programs for multiple government and commercial agencies working on boats, ships, underwater vehicles and mechanical systems.

Our first job was redesigning a houseboat that was originally built top heavy, nearly capsizing. That houseboat is now floating on Lake Union and the owners are much happier in a home that floats upright.
